Claire Kennedy, originally from the Cincinnati area, is a painter and educator who currently resides in Fort Worth, Texas. While staying at Azule, Claire drew inspiration from the surrounding nature, spiral motifs, and the prevalent blue hues of the property. This inspiration fueled her creation of ten 10″x10″ paintings and a stop-motion video utilizing found rocks, tiles, and various objects.

During our conversation, Claire discusses her influences, reflects on how her time at Azule sparked fresh inspiration, and walked us through the artwork she developed during her stay with us.
