Jen Bracy, an artist and educator from Portland, Oregon, creates multimedia works that span painting, typography, printmaking, collage, and assemblage. During her time at Azule, Jen created collages inspired by her journey from the Pacific Northwest to Southern Appalachia. Immersed in this new environment, she developed a prototype for an interactive exhibit designed to encourage the exploration of language and wordplay. Additionally, she began crafting a series of artworks that examine the ways humans adapt to the natural world through biomimicry, highlighting its potential for less-than-positive applications.
